Our goal is for you to get good information in the first session. In the first session, you will be examined and any treatment options will be discussed with you. This session will determine the orthodontic needs of you or your child.
There are many questions that orthodontic patients or their parents have and want to be answered.
Is there an orthodontic problem?
Do we need treatment now or can we delay treatment until the end of the growth time of all teeth?
What are the treatment steps for orthodontic treatment?
How long will dental treatment take?
How much does the treatment cost?
• How can we pay for it?
And other questions that we will surely answer all of them clearly and logically in the first session.
Also, if you have radiography (OPG, lateral cephalometry) and photography in the last 6 months, be sure to bring these documents with you.
Diagnostic documents and treatment plan
If treatment is needed, we will schedule an initial study scan, digital photograph, and orthodontic radiograph. After gathering these documents, we will evaluate them in a meeting and tell them the appropriate treatment plan. If agreed, orthodontic work will begin.
Periodic visits
The most important part of orthodontic treatment is the referral of your courses. You usually need to visit between 6-10 weeks to make the right adjustments. During this time, you should follow the instructions provided and have good oral hygiene and nutrition. If a bracket is removed, you should call immediately. You will be given preservatives at the end of the treatment. These retainers are used to keep your teeth in the new position so that the bones, gums and muscles get used to the new position of the teeth. The maintenance period is an important part of your treatment and should not be neglected.
Duration of treatment
Orthodontic treatment varies depending on the patient's age, severity of the deformity, patient cooperation, and tooth movement rate and lasts between 6-30 months. In some cases, this may take more than 30 months. However, the duration of treatment in most patients is less than 2 years.
